Ranger Adventure Camp ($365)

Rangers can increase their adventure at New Hope Camp & Conference Center and beyond during Session 3 Adventure Camp. During this session, campers will go beyond Day-Camp and even Ranger Overnight Camp and experience an off-site overnight camping and canoe trip. During the first few days of the session, Rangers will work on their canoeing skills, tent and camp site setup and outdoor cooking skills. They will also receive Red Cross First Aid & CPR Certification. This year they will travel to Rockingham County to spend 2 days paddling on the Mayo River. Our Program Director, an avid camper and canoeist, will lead the campers as they canoe, setup camp, cook and spend the evening singing, worshipping and sleeping by the river.

Summer Schedule

The New Hope Camp and Conference Center Experience

Summer camp at New Hope Camp and Conference Center is a good time for campers and adults to become more aware of God’s world and their part in protecting and caring for it. As we live together and learn together, we will be exploring our relationships with the earth and with each other. Campers will gain a better understanding of respect as they share, grow and learn with one another. Building a community where everyone belongs and is treated as a child of God will be an important part of each week at New Hope Camp and Conference Center. Join us this summer for an unforgettable time of learning and playing together.

Because of our location, we are able to offer programs for day camp drawing upon community resources for sports, art, music, and natural or environmental sciences. We are able to provide ideal camping programs for first time and young participants as well as exciting specialty programs for older, more experienced campers.

The Staff

The entire staff recognizes our responsibility when you choose New Hope Camp and Conference Center for your child’s summer activity. Our summer staff is typically comprised of college students or graduates from area universities. Appropriate role models and a desire to lead young people are two factors we seek in applicants. All applicants go through an extensive screening process, including interviews, to help us assemble a quality, well-rounded summer staff. All counselors, program and support staff are trained in first aid and CPR to provide your child with a fun and safe summer.

Camper Behavior Expectations

Campers are expected to participate cooperatively with their counselors and other campers in the daily activities and duties of the group. Campers are expected to respect each other, staff members, camp, and personal property. Attending camp is a privilege made possible by parents, churches and organizations that want to share God’s love with young people.
